Well we are home again for a few weeks and John is out at Warrilview correcting a few items on the caravan. One of the connections to the sway bars cracked so that is a priority. His airbags seem to be the "bees knees" although he is strengthening one side to make it as good as the other side.
We are very busy as I have decided to go to India with Neil - guess I'll have to do another blog on that eh? Also have to have 3 injections for rabies and also have to do the cholera protection sachets again. As well as this I have lost a tooth off my plate and am in the throes of dental appointments. From the 4th to 11th Feb I am looking after the 2 grand children at Carindale for a week while Natalie goes on a Pacific Cruise. This will keep me out of trouble. Then John and I are taking up a prize that I won with Queensland Holidays - a 4 night stay at Noosa Cove Resort. When we arrive back home we will leave a day or 2 later for Woodgate Beach which is about 56 kms south of Bundaberg.
In the meantime, I agreed to pick Jack up at Noosaville, where he had spent a few days with his friend, Mitchell. They had superb weather and he reckons he had a great time.
Well, nothing is happening as the weather is so foul. John is really frustrated as he is NEARLY finished but this rain will not stop. Hence things are at a standstill. Jessica is back at Moreton Bay Girls and Jack is back at Iona so 2012 is now underway.
The week at Carindale is underway and now it has fined up John is back at Warrilview with the van doing the final touches. Yesterday Jack worked from 11am 'til late at Woolies so Jessica and I set off for Tamborine. It was a lovely day - fine and clear and sunny. We watched them hang-gliding from the escarpment, did a bush walk to Curtis Falls and finished up with a late lunch at the famous Bernard's Hotel.
Well, what dreadful trip to Woodgate- O K to Tiaro and then the heavens fell in. It was so heavy we actually pulled up 5/6 times as you could NOT see because the rain was so heavy - an absolute deluge and we ran out of one storm into another. The park itself is lovely and very laid - back.
Yippee!! John is pleased with the van and I went out with him and cleaned everything. He did a few finishing touches. He is taking the deep freeze out today as we are off to Noosa Heads to " The Cove" for a long week- end - free as I won it in a Sunshine Coast Holiday Comp.
Whoo!!! Hoo!!!! John is satisfied with the caravan. So next week we'll go out again - together this time and put some clothes and goods(unperishables) in it and I will clean it all up again - a general once over- ready for travelling on the 22nd up to Woodgate.
What a great spot!!! Kangaroos grazing by the road on the esplanade - lots of them. Took john to the Bowling Club for his birthday.
Best wishes all. Next blog will be from India.
